The Battery Logbook App tracks the usage of your batterys, and provides infomration of the discharge during use of the battery.
To make the App work, it needs infomration about the used capacity of the battery, which can be provided by the U/I Sensor also called Powermeter. This Information can be provided by other Apps as well.
If the App is installed, and a battery is connected through the U/I Sensor, a selection of available battery shows up:
This is the Battery selector. If you already have added your Battery, just select the one that just has been connected. With this, you give all information you set with the given battery, like voltage, and usable capacity. The Main Screen will now show a progress bar where usually the receiver Voltage is displayed. The bar has the Name of the battery on in. It shows the remaining usable capacity.
If you just connected a new battery, select "cancel", and add the battery in the batterylogbook menu item (see below).
If the App is installed, a Vbar is connected, and a Powermeter is available, you see these additional menu items in the Application Settings, Battery Logbook subfolder:
Using a New Battery
When the Selector Comes up, Choose "Cancel".
Go to the Battery Logbook menu and Choose "Create Battery"
Seelct Start to create a new battery
Now give the Battery a Name. The List that comes up at connect time will be sorted alphabetical, so you can setup your own sceme to find the battery quickly. The Battery List is globally on your transmitter, so a bit care with the nameing is very helpful. Choose Next:
Now the Parameters of the Battery is entered. The given Values are just a example.
Capacity: The Full capacity of the Battery as printed on the label
Cell Count: Number of cells in the complete battery pack.
Cell Volt: The voltage per cell. LiPo has 4.2V
Use Capacity: Choose how much of the capacity printed on the battery you like to use.
Now Choos exit, you will have a new battery entered. You can now immediately start using the battery, it will count down the capacity to 0, which means, there is still the amount left you entered in the settings. The usable capacity is scaled to 100% for your conveniencs.
Using a already known battery:
This is very simple. If the selector comes up, choose the Battery name you like to use, click, and thats it.
IF you accitentially connect a Battery that is not fully charged, a warning will come up with an acoustic signal that informs you to be careful not to overdischarge the Battery:
Alarms that appears, will automatically stop if the motor is switched off.
If a Battery is disconnected, a status report of the things that happened since the last connect is displayed to inform about the important values of the last flight:
Removing a Battery:
If you like to remove a Battery from the list, Choose "Remove Battery" From the Logbook menu. The Battery Selection dialog will come up. Choose the Battery you like to remove:
An additional question asks if you really want to remove the battery. If its ok, choose "Remove". The battery will be removed from the list. All Logfiles that have been created for the battery are removed as well, since the folder in the filesystem is removed.
Changing Parameter/Name:
Connect the Battery, choose it from the selector. Then got to the Battery Logbook menu and choose "Battery Name" or "Battery Setup". Do your changes and leave the dialog. The changes will be stored immediately.
Alarm Settings:
Here you can choose how the battery draining shall be announced:
Vibration Alarm: If the Battery empty shall be announced by Vibration alarm, you can choose between three levels: Light, Meduim and Intensive.
Audio Alarm: A Signal Tone announces the battery empty. Its choosed to be not too intensive, so you may want to ignore it for a short time to finish your flight gracefully.
Speak Percent: If this is activated, every 10% progress in the draining is announced by a voice message. This is very useful to always have a idea how log you can fly at any chargestate of the battery.
These Settings are global, they apply to all batterys.

Some insight how the data is stored
Using the new menu item 'Archive' you can check the battery logs for each known battery in VBar Control, selectable by the batterie's name. From now on, the name of the model which the battery was used on will be logged, too. Date, Time, Used capacity, Duration of use in seconds, Minimum voltage, Maximum current, Idle voltage and the Model name will be displayed.
