TelMe for VBar Control and Kontronik Jive PRO and Kosmik

As announced previously, the TelMe interface for KontronikJive PRO and Kosmik (current software required) is now available. Now a VBar Control owner has all the available data from the ESC available on his radio.

A huge benefit is that you can use the ESC as a sensor for battery management. An external current/voltage sensor is no longer required. Connection is very straightforward: connect TelMe to one of the sensor ports on the ESC and to one of the TELE ports on a VBar. You can also daisy chain: simply connect TelMe e.g. to a Battery ID Sensor. Legacy VBars (like Blueline, Silverline, black (with Spektrum Satellite ports) and Mini VBars are also supported.

The following data and features are available

  • Current display (max., peak, current)
  • Flight pack voltage (minimum and current)
  • Used capacity
  • Final stage temperature
  • PWM (actual trottle setting)
  • RPM (actual head speed)
  • BEC Voltage, Current, Temperature (current and max. or min.)
  • ESC alarms
  • Log file of important flight data in the radio

In conjunction with our Battery Management, preferably in conjunction with the Battery ID Reader (RFID Tag on each battery) you can also use the fully automated battery monitoring and logging, including cycle management.

How to set it up:

  • Update the ESC to the newest firmware (see instructions for the ESC)
  • Get the "Kontronik ESC Support" App on your VBar Control from our App Store (free of charge) which you find in the "Telemetry" section
  • Setup ... hardly necessary. If TelMe is connected and detected, everything is ready to use. In Application Settings you find the panels for monitoring all parameters, and to set up logging.

The App can remain loaded, even if you do not have an Kontronik ESC with TelMe connected. VBar Control only loads the App if such an ESC with TelMe is detected. This means, you can switch between models using TelMe and models using our Voltage/Current sensor, the radio adapts automatically.

TelMe is a product from Kontronik and can be purchased from Kontronik or regular dealers.
